What makes an order a "special?"
A special is an image that entails extra work to be done by our artists. When an image is sent to us by fax, a low-resolution JPG, a placed image within Microsoft Word or a Microsoft Paint file, it will be charged as a special. Some exceptions do apply. Major alterations to existing Howard Sportswear Graphics, Inc. clip art / templates also will be charged as a special.
How do I set up my design as vector art?
A vector graphic is the representation of a digital image as points, lines, and other geometric entities. Please see our art specifications section for further information.
What is the difference between spot colors and CMYK?
Spot color is any color generated by an ink that is printed using a single run. Any Pantone color is a spot color or 100% cyan, 100% magenta, 100% black, 100% yellow when using CMYK, is a spot color.
How do I figure out pricing for P.C. design vinyl or HSH3 that is not a pre-spaced name or number?
All custom designed PC / HSH3 will be priced on a case-by-case basis. Please contact your sales associate for more information.
Can I get a sample of my artwork for my customer?
Yes. We will email you a proof of your artwork for a charge of $5.00.
Do you offer any shipping options besides UPS?
Unfortunately, no. UPS is the only method of shipping we offer.
How do I get my account set up for NET terms?
Ask your sales representative for a credit application. This application can be obtained by email or fax. Please have your email address or fax number ready.
My transfers are not sticking to my garment. What am I doing wrong?
There are various reasons for this outcome. Please contact your sales associate or email us at techsupport@howardsportswear.net.
I'm printing shirts and I've ruined 5 garments in the process. Will I be reimbursed for the ruined shirts?
No. If you encounter any printing issues while applying our transfers please STOP IMMEDIATELY and contact your sales associate or email us at techsupport@howardsportswear.net. We will take into account the initial ruined garments, however continued attempts to print when there is a clear production issue are at your own discretion.
I don't know if I can use this logo because it's an established trademark. Can I still send you the design?
All produced transfers at Howard Sportswear Graphics, Inc. are custom manufactured to your specifications. We hold no license rights, and can accept no liability for copyright or trademark infringement on designs submitted to us by you and manufactured by you. By submitting a design of a copyrighted or trademarked item to us, you warrant that you have been authorized by the copyright or trademark owner or its agents or representatives, to have that design manufactured by us on your behalf.
How do I know which ink types to choose?
For most of your orders Howard Hot Peel (HHP) will suffice. However, for high detailed orders, we recommend Howard Super Hold (HSH2). Please take a look at our product information guide for further questions and garment recommendations.
